Ranches Primary School proudly unveiled its brand-new Sports Podium, marking a major milestone in the school’s continued commitment to sport, wellbeing, and active learning.

This impressive new addition nearly doubles the school’s outdoor PE space, creating a vibrant hub for physical activity and inter-school competition. The Sports Podium features two new netball and basketball courts, a durable MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) surface, full shade, floodlights, and AV/speaker facilities to support events and celebrations. A direct bridge link from the first floor provides easy and safe access for students, ensuring smooth transitions between lessons and activities.

The development has increased the number of sports courts from two to five, significantly expanding opportunities for PE lessons, ECAs (Extra-Curricular Activities), and inter-school fixtures. The podium will also serve as a dynamic play zone where children can run, explore, and engage in daily physical activity.

“The Sports Podium is an outstanding addition to Ranches Primary School, almost doubling our outdoor PE space,” said Steve Arnold, Principal of Ranches Primary School. “It provides far greater opportunities for every child to enjoy sport and physical activity every day.”

The opening ceremony brought together students, staff, and families, celebrating this exciting new chapter in the school’s growth and commitment to active learning.

A big thank you to our wonderful community for joining us in marking this important milestone. Together, we continue to build a school where every child can thrive.
